Getting to know Erin Oden

All too often, unfortunate life circumstances, difficult experiences and painful challenges lead to the belief of negative and untrue definitions of self. My goal is to help my clients to challenge those untrue beliefs, and then realize their intrinsic worthiness, value and goodness, so that they can move forward and embrace their lives wholeheartedly.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I am a Licensed Psychotherapist who is passionate about helping people to help themselves. I utilize a strengths-based approach, as I work to help my clients gain and maintain increased insight and self-efficacy, so that they can better achieve their goals. I find joy in this work, as I realize that everyone has difficulties in life, no matter how big or small. Whether you struggle with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, negative self-image, addiction, food issues, low self-esteem or just managing with the day-to-day stressors of life, I am here to walk the path beside you, as you learn to cope in a healthy, empowered manner.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I specialize in treatment of trauma related issues, substance use issues, eating disorders, anxiety, depression, relationship issues and women’s issues. I am trained as an EMDR therapist, and I utilize a trauma informed approach in my practice. I also enjoy providing coaching to clients who want to focus on building internal strength and moving forward in their lives.
