“I've worked with Erin as my therapist for a few years now, and she is always able to make me see the other side of things when I'm at my worst. Everytime I'm nervous to share something in my sessions because I'm embarassed or ashamed, she makes me feel valid in my feelings and completely accepted and unjudged, like I'm not broken or bad, just human. I always leave my sessions with her feeling like I can breathe a little easier. I'm really grateful to have found her.”

Getting to know Erin Rectanus

Hi there, I'm Erin. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with experience working with individuals as well as groups regarding mental health and substance abuse concerns. I earned my Bachelor's degree from the University of Florida (Go Gators!) and my Master's degree in Counseling Psychology and Human Services from Lehigh University (Go Mountain Hawks!). I am passionate about helping individuals learn, grow, and thrive by providing a solution-focused approach to therapy. I help individuals gain insight into their concerns and issues, create plans for positive change, and take action toward healthier lifestyles. In our sessions, you will have the space and support to work through the challenges you are facing. I will incorporate techniques from mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy, and positive psychology to assist in your treatment. Life is filled with challenges and setbacks that can at times feel completely overwhelming. By attending therapy, you are choosing to take back control to pursue an enhanced and improved quality of life. No matter where you are or what you are going through, I’ll be here to walk by your side.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Clients can expect to gain greater insight into their behavioral and emotional patterns. They can expect to be better equipped to regulate emotions, process their experiences, and take care of their individual needs. My goal is provide the space and support for each individual client to learn more about themselves so that they can grow and tackle their goals in life.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
