Psychotherapist

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience supporting teens and adults through anxiety, trauma, grief, relationship stress, life transitions, caregiver stress, and emotional overwhelm. My background includes work in hospice, behavioral health, and private practice, which has shaped my understanding of how deeply emotional pain can affect the nervous system, relationships, identity, and overall quality of life. My approach is warm, collaborative, trauma-informed, and grounded in creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can slow down, feel understood, and begin reconnecting with themselves. I often work with people who feel stuck in survival mode, struggle with anxiety or self-doubt, have difficulty setting boundaries, or feel like they have lost parts of themselves while caring for others or navigating painful life experiences. I specialize in nervous system–focused therapy, trauma healing, grief and loss, anxiety, emotional regulation, relationship patterns, identity shifts, and self-worth. I help clients move beyond simply “coping” and toward deeper healing, clarity, self-trust, and emotional safety. Sessions may include insight-oriented therapy, parts work, grounding tools, mindfulness, cognitive reframing, nervous system education, and practical strategies that support meaningful change between sessions. I am certified in Acu-Detox acupuncture for nervous system reset (ADS). My style is compassionate, direct when helpful, and focused on honoring each client’s lived experience. I believe healing happens when people feel safe enough to explore their inner world, understand their patterns, and build new ways of responding to themselves and others. Whether you are feeling overwhelmed, grieving, healing from trauma, or wanting to feel more grounded and connected, therapy can be a place to begin creating lasting change.

What should a new client know about working with you?

New clients should know that my style is warm, grounded, collaborative, and nonjudgmental. I work to create a space where you can feel emotionally safe, understood, and supported while also gently exploring the patterns, beliefs, and nervous system responses that may be keeping you feeling stuck. My approach is trauma-informed and nervous system–focused, which means we will not only talk about what is happening in your life, but also pay attention to how stress, anxiety, grief, trauma, or overwhelm may be showing up in your body, relationships, and daily functioning. I believe therapy should move at a pace that feels supportive, not forced. In sessions, I may use a combination of insight-oriented therapy, parts work, mindfulness, grounding tools, cognitive reframing, emotional regulation skills, and practical strategies you can use outside of therapy. I often help clients better understand their inner world, strengthen boundaries, build self-trust, and reconnect with parts of themselves they may have had to silence, protect, or disconnect from. My goal is not to tell you who to be, but to help you feel more grounded, clear, and connected to yourself. You can expect compassion, honesty, curiosity, and a therapy space where your lived experience is honored.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

A typical first session is focused on getting to know you, understanding what brings you to therapy, and identifying what you would like to feel or experience differently. We will talk about your current concerns, relevant history, symptoms, relationships, stressors, strengths, and goals for treatment. I also take time to answer questions and help you feel comfortable with the therapy process. Ongoing sessions are collaborative and tailored to your needs. We may explore recent challenges, relationship patterns, emotions, nervous system responses, grief, trauma, boundaries, self-worth, or parts of yourself that feel conflicted or overwhelmed. Sessions may include reflection, grounding tools, mindfulness, emotional regulation strategies, cognitive reframing, parts work, and practical steps you can use between sessions. My goal is to help you feel safe, supported, and understood while also building insight and tools for meaningful change. Therapy does not have to move faster than your nervous system is ready for. We will work at a pace that feels supportive, with the intention of helping you feel more grounded, connected, and confident in yourself.
