What should a new client know about working with you?

I work to create a space that is safe, supportive, and open so that you can connect with the parts of yourself that needs to be nurtured, heard, and healed. I value self-determination and autonomy and view my working relationship with you as collaborative. I encourage feedback and active participation throughout the entire process to ensure we continue to move in a meaningful direction that is producing results. I have a non-judgmental, curious, compassionate, and often humor-filled approach. I practice from a client-centered, trauma-informed, strengths-based framework, and I utilize elements of several different evidenced-based treatment modalities to individualize your treatment specifically for you. Weaving together different aspects of various approaches, it is my desire is to help you heal from past wounds, break out of repetitive self-defeating behaviors, bring clarity to what is meaningful to you, and give you the tools you need to better manage the difficult thoughts and feelings that will inevitably arise when life happens.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

If you think you may be interested in working with me but still not sure, I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation. We will discuss your desired treatment goals and answer any questions you may have to ensure you feel comfortable moving forward. After our consultation, you will complete intake paperwork and then schedule your first session. The initial session is an opportunity to discuss the concerns you're seeking support for and establishing treatment goals that will guide the subsequent sessions and the work we do together.
