Getting to know Erlinda De La Torre
I specialize in working with clients who are struggling with anxiety, depression, racial and cultural identity, grief and loss, relationships, stress management, life transitions, setting boundaries, and self-esteem. My goal is to provide a safe environment where you can explore your thoughts and emotions without fear of judgment. We will work together from a holistic, solution-focused approach specific to your strengths and needs to help you move through your pain and make space for more love, compassion, and connection in life.
I hold a Master’s in Social Work from Aurora University, which has equipped me with the knowledge and skills to support you effectively. Additionally, I am bilingual in Filipino and English, making me uniquely able to help with cultural identity, racial discrimination, and language barriers. I create a safe space for you to grow, learn, explore, and heal. Together, we will find strategies to help you move beyond your deepest pain, depression, and anxiety into a happier, healthier way of living. As your therapist, I will guide you along your journey to a renewed sense of healing and purpose in life.
What should a new client know about working with you?
My approach is one of compassion, connection, and authenticity. I have specialized training in CBT, DBT, Trauma Informed therapy and disordered eating. I utilize a holistic solution-focused approach specific to your strengths and needs to help move you through your current pain, making space for more love, compassion, and connection in life. I am not a prescribing provider.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
We will meet for an initial assessment and discuss the problems that brought you in. From there we will work together to create a plan that best supports your healing process. We will use talk therapy and develop coping strategies to help you improve your life.

She failed to convince me she was knowledgeable on the topic of sex or porn addiction and that she even cared. I had to remind her I'm interviewing her as well. She's not very good at this. All she had to do was stop talking and listen to me explain these taboo desires I've been having and tell me it's okay and I got nothing from her.
