Getting to know Ernesta Adams

The idea of counseling can be intimidating. The thought of being vulnerable and sharing significant life experiences with a stranger can be downright overwhelming. I get it! My goal at Adams Clinical Services, LLC is to provide a safe, welcoming and nurturing environment for each person. The dynamic between myself and the individuals that I work with is very important because it helps to foster the relationship of trust and support. I will work with you to navigate through traumatic experiences, intrusive, self-defeating thoughts, overwhelming anxiety and the ebb and flow of symptoms created by life stressors

What should a new client know about working with you?

I understand that each person that I work with is an individual and that the care and services that they receive should be individualized as well. I utilize a variety of counseling methods during sessions but my main approach is to work with each individual to develop a plan of action best tailored to their individual needs

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I specialize in EMDR therapy and trauma recovery including generational trauma and life experiences. I also specialize working with individuals with chronic anxiety and depressive disorders. I also enjoy working with individuals navigating life transitions including breakups, changes in schooling, career pivots and navigating various stages of adolescence and adulthood. I also incorporate a client centered approach as well as parts work to explore deep rooted symptoms.
