You're finding yourself in a cycle of suffering and feeling lost on how to get out of this cycle, or maybe even feeling like you'll never get out of this cycle. But you're here because you want to break the cycle. You are here because you long for healing; somewhere inside of you there is hope. I commend you for not giving up and choosing to take this brave step towards healing. However, I recognize what a daunting process it can be to find a stranger on the internet to open up to. My hope for you is that you find what you are looking for. I have over 10 years working in various healing professions and with people from all walks of life. My primary therapeutic specialties include Internal Family Systems therapy, or IFS, mindful self-compassion and somatic work; I call these my "pillars" of therapy. IFS explores the deep, often buried, parts of ourselves that are holding on to immense pain. Mindful self-compassion is an approach that increases your insight into your inner experience (i.e. when you're triggered) and how to relate to your inner experience with compassion rather than harsh judgement or dismissal. Somatic work brings the body into sessions. Talk therapy is incredibly valuable but it keeps us stuck in the mind. With somatic work we are bringing awareness to the body and with various, gentle exercises, allowing the body to transform and release stored pain.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I bring my most authentic self into sessions to hopefully guide you towards your own brand of authenticity. I will actively collaborate with you and encourage you to move towards a place where you feel like therapy is no longer necessary. We'll talk about past experiences and examine what beliefs and behaviors you adopted from these experiences. We're going to identify what's not working and what's not serving you. We are going to shift your internal voice from one of self-criticism to one of curiosity, confidence and compassion. You're going to learn skills that will help you access your innate resilience and empower you to embody a version of yourself that you trust. I do the work I do because I whole heartedly believe that healing is possible, but this is absolutely not easy work. Thankfully, you don't have to go through it alone.
