Typically, the initial consultation will be 60 minutes and will address how therapy procedures go, hippa policies, and background of treatment planning. For couples, the first session is to get to know clients, the second and third sessions are done individually to understand the couple individually, and the remainder sessions are done with the couple to address and work on what brought clients in, whether it was infidelity, trust, communication barriers, trauma, lack of communication, lack of sexuality, or intimacy problems and then discharge will be addressed when goals of the couple have been met.
