Being human and functioning is hard; functioning while dragging the heavy load of trauma can feel impossible. Feeling constantly overwhelmed, angry, fearful and sad are only a few of the devastating effects that trauma often leaves in its wake. Although the cards that you (and/or your loved ones) have been dealt may feel unfair or unmanageable, you don’t have to go at it solo. Together, we will explore new ways to develop and trust your intuition, tune into your body, and create a practical toolkit you can pull out when the going gets tough. I specialize in treating trauma,PTSD,OCD as well as postpartum using DBT, mindfulness, and trauma recovery tools including DBT PE and CPT. I support clients in managing big emotions, healing from their past, and building stronger relationships with themselves and with others. My approach combines evidence-based therapy with warmth and genuine connection. If your past feels like it’s still shaping your present, you’re not alone. I bring both professional training and lived experience to this work, and I’d be honored to support you. You don’t have to have the right words or untangle it all at once because we’ll move at your pace, together.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Clients can expect a warm, compassionate, and genuine therapeutic space where they feel seen, heard, and supported without judgment. I believe transparency is the best policy, and I strive to foster an honest, collaborative relationship where you feel comfortable showing up exactly as you are. My approach is centered on meeting you where you are at, moving at a pace that feels manageable, and helping you navigate challenges with both empathy and practical support. Whether you come in knowing exactly what you want to work on or are still trying to make sense of things, you do not have to have all the answers before starting therapy. I offer both in-person sessions and telehealth appointments to help make therapy feel accessible and flexible for your needs.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Once a client requests an appointment, I will reach out by email and/or phone to coordinate an initial consultation or intake session. During this process, I will gather some basic information, including your birthdate and email address, in order to help you set up your TherapyNotes client portal. Through the portal, you will be able to securely complete intake paperwork, upload insurance information, sign consent forms, and access any documents needed prior to beginning treatment. My goal is to make the process feel as smooth, transparent, and supportive as possible from the very beginning. In our initial sessions, we will spend time getting to know one another, discussing what brings you to therapy, identifying goals, and exploring what approach may feel most helpful for your needs.
