Getting to know Eugene Foerster III

Do you ever worry that sexual challenges might be affecting your relationships? Maybe you’re struggling with desire, arousal, or orgasm. Maybe past trauma makes intimacy feel overwhelming, or you’re navigating questions about sexuality, kink, or non-monogamy. These challenges can feel isolating—but you don’t have to face them alone. Hello, I’m Trey, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Sex and Sexuality Therapist in FL, AL, AR, CO, IL, and VA. I’ll help you untangle these challenges so you can move toward a more grounded, honest version of yourself. Imagine feeling more at ease and authentic. No longer being ruled by fear or shame. Feeling confident in yourself and in your relationships. Together, we’ll unpack what’s holding you back and get clear on what truly matters to you. I use behavioral, narrative, and values-based tools to help you take real steps forward. Therapy with me is genuine and compassionate, and often includes a bit of humor along the way. We’ll talk through hard things without getting stuck in them. And when you're ready, we’ll look back together and honor with pride how far you’ve come. If you're ready to do the work and want a therapist who truly sees you, let’s talk.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I take a collaborative approach, blending lighthearted humor with evidence-based strategies to help you embrace your authentic self. Our thoughts and emotions are part of us, and learning to accept and navigate them is essential. By focusing on behavioral therapies, I support you in finding a path towards a life that feels fulfilling and true to you. Life can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to face it alone. Together, we’ll work through challenges and build a life that truly reflects who you are. Let’s take this journey—on your terms, at your pace.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our first session will be about getting to know each other and making sure we are a good fit to work together. We’ll start with a brief intake process to get a clearer picture of who you are and what you’re hoping to accomplish. From there, the real work—and often the most meaningful part—begins. Each session is a collaborative space where we explore what matters to you, notice what gets in the way, and practice new ways of responding so you can build a life that feels more authentic and free.
