Getting to know Eugene Offoha

If you or someone you know is in need of therapy, I am here to help. I specialize in treating adults who deal with depression and anxiety, as well as children with ADHD and/or oppositional defiant disorder. My main therapeutic modality is CBT. I was born in Baltimore, MD, and grew up mainly in Philadelphia, Ithaca, NY, and North Carolina. After completing my last year of high school in Rocky Mount, NC, I continued many of my educational pursuits in North Carolina, earning a Master's in Social Work from Fayetteville State University. What should a new client know about working with you?

Clients can expect that they will be heard, understood, and treated with respect. I mainly use Cognitive Behavior Therapy in my approach. I have been using this modality since I began doing therapy 15 years ago.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Begin with introductions and then to take some time to really get to know the person. I would like to know what he/she is like as well as the circumstances behind the reason for him/her seeking therapy.
