If I could imagine my ideal client, it would be anyone who is willing to put in the work. By work, I mean starting where they are at and being open-minded. Ideally, my client would want to recognize what contributes to their thoughts and behaviors. Furthermore, they would be willing to create S.M.A.R.T. goals. These goals would be individualized to my ideal client no matter the issue. Everyone has strengths, even if they can't see them immediately. I use a strengths-based approach to highlight my clients' resilience and positive attributes. I use my findings and experience to actively listen, provide support, validate feelings, and identify thinking patterns. By asking open-ended, clarifying, and summarizing questions, I hope to best understand everyone. My specialties include resilience, strengths, mindfulness, anxiety, anger, and depression.
