Getting to know Fabienne Alexandre

I have a Bachelors degree in Psychology as well as a Masters degree in Social Work from Florida State University. My passion for helping people has always been something that was and is a part of me. I know that may sound cliche because many people in the field say this, however, helping others runs in my family. My Mom received her Masters in Mental Health Counseling and currently works with children doing therapy. She is also currently pursuing a PhD in Human Behavior. She confirmed that passion within me that I knew I had and I am glad that I followed it. I have had fulfilling experiences within the field thus far and am excited to continue this journey with you! I have experience working with those struggling with anxiety, depression, anger management, substance abuse, trauma, grief, self-esteem, and suicidal ideation. I have worked with children, adolescents, young adults, and adults in various settings including community mental health centers and agencies. I have been in the field long enough to really be able to develop my own style and take a genuine, collaborative therapeutic and non-judgmental approach to any client I’ve had the opportunity to help. My goal is to help others reach their best potential to lead a life that they want to live. There are many obstacles that face us everyday and it is not always easy taking them on alone. Everyone needs help and I believe that the first step is realizing that we all need help sometimes and that’s okay. There’s a strength and a courage that I believe is present when we take that step to seek help. I am elated to begin this journey with you and work together to achieve a life worth living.
