Felicia Diamond, LCSW

Psychotherapist
NY
As a therapist, I’ve been told I’m very warm, caring, and calming, with a listening ear that helps clients feel at ease. My goal is to create a judgment-free space where you feel heard, understood, and supported as we explore your thoughts, emotions, and possibilities. Each person I work with is unique, and my style reflects that. While you are the expert of your own lived experiences, I will guide you in discovering new ways of thinking, feeling, and being. Together, we’ll uncover the areas where you feel stuck, identify blind spots that may hold you back, and create actionable steps to help you move forward through challenges. I specialize in working with anxiety, eating disorders, OCD, and more. I’m especially inspired by those who, even in moments of despair, cling to hope and show a willingness to try something new. Current research shows that hope is one of the most powerful catalysts for not just change, but improved physical, social, and mental health outcomes! If you’ve been considering therapy, I want you to know it’s not as scary as it may seem. Most of the time, you’ll be doing the talking. My role is doing the listening and guiding you through thoughtful questions and conversations to help you see things from a new perspective. Seeking therapy isn’t a sign of weakness—it’s a courageous step toward growth. I have over 15 years of diverse clinical and community experiences—from working with children in schools and home settings, to treating seniors in nursing homes, to helping formerly incarcerated clients successfully transition from prison re-entry programs into the community. My training includes a Master’s in Social Work from Touro College, where I graduated with distinction, and a professional program in psychoanalysis from The Center for Modern Psychoanalytic Studies in New York City. I am constantly reading and learning in order to stay up-to-date with new therapeutic approaches and techniques to better serve my clients.
