Psychotherapist
AL
Ferendez Lowery is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and the founder of Inner Diamond Counseling. We offer compassionate, client-centered support for those navigating life's challenges. The goal is to provide a supportive space to help you journey to inner radiance. My approach to care is collaborative, supportive, and rooted in respect for your autonomy. I draw from person-centered, cognitive-behavioral, and strengths-based therapies to help you explore challenges, build coping skills, and move toward your goals at your own pace. I believe in creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, empowered, and guided—not pushed—as you navigate life’s difficulties. I work primarily with young adults in the emerging adulthood stage, as well as adults who are caregivers, living with ADHD, or managing chronic health conditions. My clients often feel overwhelmed by life transitions, stress, or the demands of caring for others, and may feel disconnected from their sense of self. I help them reconnect, find balance, and develop practical strategies to manage emotions, set healthy boundaries, and move through life with greater clarity and confidence.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I work primarily with young adults in the emerging adulthood stage, as well as adults who are caregivers, living with ADHD, or managing chronic health conditions. My clients often feel overwhelmed by life transitions, stress, or the demands of caring for others, and may feel disconnected from their sense of self. I help them reconnect, find balance, and develop practical strategies to manage emotions, set healthy boundaries, and move through life with greater clarity and confidence. My journey to becoming a provider began with a deep desire to support others through life’s toughest moments. As a social worker, I worked in healthcare and child welfare settings, where I witnessed the power of compassion, resilience, and human connection. Over time, I was drawn to therapy because I wanted to walk alongside people more intimately—helping them not just survive, but truly heal and grow.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I help clients reach their goals by starting where they are—identifying what matters most to them and breaking that down into clear, manageable steps. Together, we will create a collaborative plan that honors your pace and priorities. Our first session is a supportive introduction to your therapeutic journey. We will get to know each other and discuss what your goals are for therapy. I also want you to determine if I am the therapist for you.
