As a bilingual clinician fluent in English and Spanish, Fernando values understanding each client’s unique background, experiences, relationships, and personal values. Fernando earned his undergraduate degree in Psychology in 2022 and his Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2026 from Lynn University. His clinical experience includes working with individuals across residential, partial hospitalization (PHP), intensive outpatient (IOP), and outpatient levels of care, as well as providing individual and group counseling. He has experience addressing a range of concerns, including trauma, mood-related difficulties, behavioral patterns, family dynamics, anger management, and self-esteem. Fernando takes an integrative, trauma-informed approach that incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing, behavioral interventions, and solution-focused techniques. He works collaboratively with clients to identify unhelpful patterns, strengthen coping skills, improve emotional regulation, and develop greater self-awareness. By balancing deeper self-exploration with practical strategies, he helps clients translate insight into meaningful, lasting changes in their everyday lives. Fernando believes that a strong therapeutic relationship is built on trust, authenticity, and a nonjudgmental environment where clients feel safe being themselves.
