My name is Filise Jules, a native of Haiti and a woman of faith. I hold a Master's degree in Psychology and Counseling from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. I am a seasoned licensed clinician specializing in mental health, individual, marriage, and family counseling for adolescents, young adults, couples, and adults with children. I am licensed in Mental Health Counseling, certified in Crisis Intervention and Trauma Treatment, and qualified to supervise Registered LMHC Interns in the state of Florida.
Since 2005, I have been practicing in Florida, helping youths and families facing crises, trauma, and mental, behavioral, and emotional health challenges, including psychological and relationship issues. I am an experienced therapist and a skilled listener with a soft-spoken manner and a high-stress biblical-based threshold. I am passionate, honest, and eager to help people in distress.

You've been a wonderful Counselor to work with. You walked with me through my proverbial inferno and back to reality. Along the journey, you were able to adapt quickly to the challenges; maintain a firm nurturing and supportive demeanor despite my instability; and continued to push me beyond positive limits I inhibited within myself. Filise is a brilliant counselor who brings value across broad academic, cultural, and mental expertise. For nearly a year, Filise has provided a steadfast approach to managing grief and incorporating a new sense of healthy advice for coping and balancing life. As an added bonus, Filise is trained in religious content and therapy, a specialty I was looking for. There is a perception in my community that seeing a counselor equates to weakness but I have found through my many visits the opposite. I have become stronger and look forward to completing my treatment plan.

The patience Ms Filise has had with me and the professionalism. I will most definitely advise people who I know to her. I have been able to make the tough decisions I needed to make because I had the tool given to me to make them. I will be back in the future because therapy is a continuous thing for me and it is most appreciated.
