Getting to know Florence Mungo

Have you been wondering if your current challenges stem from past traumatic life events? Do you struggle in relationships? If so, I may be the therapist for you. I specialize in trauma therapy for teenagers and adults. Many people often think trauma is only caused by violent crimes, physical abuse, or natural disasters. They may also believe that because trauma happened a long time ago, it no longer affects them. These are common myths about trauma. In reality, trauma can take many forms, such as the sudden or unexpected death of a loved one, bullying, retaliation in the workplace, parental neglect, infidelity, intimate partner violence, witnessing domestic violence, and more. If you or your teen is struggling with anxiety, depression, or life stressors, therapy with me can help foster positive changes to strengthen self-esteem and confidence. I hold a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from Arcadia University and am trained in EMDR and other trauma therapy approaches. My years of professional experience as a teacher and counselor, along with my lived experiences as a Black person, allow me to provide empathetic regard while supporting clients from multicultural backgrounds.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
