Frances Rivera, LMFT

Psychotherapist
GA
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a Master’s degree in Family Therapy from Nova Southeastern University and more than 15 years of experience working with individuals, couples, and families. My specialty is the integration of mental and physical health. As a result of working for many years in the managed care industry with people facing both chronic mental and physical health conditions, I see how a holistic approach to psychotherapy is essential. As a trained marriage and family therapist, my passion is relationships—whether it is an intimate partnership, family, or most importantly, the relationship you have with yourself. I thrive on helping my clients find healthy perceptions of themselves. I use a strength-based, cognitive behavioral, and solution-focused approach to help you reconnect with yourself. By identifying thought patterns and practicing new ways of relating to yourself and others, I will help you transform stressful life situations into new experiences of growth and overall wellness. I pride myself on being non-judgmental and open-minded and acknowledge that you are the expert in your life. I am also a 200-hour certified yoga instructor and bring mindfulness and stress reduction into my clinical work to help you achieve peace and balance. I am currently completing a certification course on Nutritional and Integrative Medicine for Mental Health Professionals. My other interests include holistic health modalities, grief counseling, and cultural and LGBTQ issues. I find balance in my life as a wife and fur mom. I am a bit of a foodie, and I love travel, yoga, cooking, reading a great biography, and appreciating a good sense of humor.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
