Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply ready for change, I'm here to support you. As a counselor and art therapist, I offer a creative and compassionate space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences at your own pace. I specialize in helping individuals navigate anxiety, life transitions, trauma, and self-discovery. My approach is client-centered and collaborative—together, we'll create a path that aligns with your unique needs and goals. You don't have to go through it alone. When you're ready, I'm here to walk beside you. I use a combination of cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and art therapy to support your healing and growth. CBT helps us explore and reframe unhelpful thoughts and patterns, while art therapy offers a creative, nonverbal way to process emotions, reduce stress, and gain insight. Whether through talking, creating, or a blend of both, my approach is flexible and centered around your individual needs. I may also incorporate mindfulness, grounding techniques, and somatic awareness to deepen your connection to yourself. Your goals guide the process, and together, we'll build practical tools for emotional regulation, self-expression, and meaningful change. I work with children, adolescents, and adults using creative and expressive approaches to support emotional growth and healing. Whether you're navigating anxiety, trauma, life transitions, or simply looking to better understand yourself, I tailor our work to fit your unique needs. Through a combination of talk therapy and art-based techniques, I help clients tap into their inner strengths, build coping skills, and move toward meaningful change. No artistic experience is needed—just a willingness to explore.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My communication style is calm, patient, and attuned to both verbal and nonverbal expressions. I create a grounded, supportive space where you can feel seen and heard without pressure or judgment. I listen deeply—not just to your words, but also to your body language, tone, and emotional energy. While I bring a gentle presence to the therapy space, I’m also direct and transparent when it supports your growth. I often use creative approaches to help explore feelings that are difficult to express with words, and I aim to meet you exactly where you are, with respect and authenticity. My journey into the field of therapy began with a firsthand understanding of the healing power of creativity. Through my own experiences, I discovered how art can access and express the deeper parts of ourselves that words sometimes cannot reach. This sparked a lifelong passion for using creative modalities to explore the inner world and support emotional growth. Along the way, I’ve had the privilege of working with children and families in South America, learning from Native American communities, and serving individuals in a variety of settings—including acute behavioral health, group homes, residential facilities, private practice, and women’s groups. These diverse experiences have shaped my belief in the strength of the human spirit and the importance of culturally sensitive, holistic care. What continues to motivate me as a provider is witnessing the transformation that happens when someone’s internal narrative begins to shift—when self-doubt softens, when inner conflict gives way to clarity, and when a client’s voice becomes stronger and more confident. It’s an honor to walk alongside people as they reconnect with their truth, creativity, and resilience.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I see therapy as a collaborative journey, where your goals guide our direction. Whether you're looking to build emotional resilience, improve relationships, or reconnect with your sense of self, we’ll work together to identify what’s most meaningful to you. I use both traditional talk therapy and creative methods—like art-making, journaling, and visual storytelling—to help you explore your thoughts and feelings in new ways. As you grow and gain insight, your goals may shift, and we’ll adjust our work to stay aligned with your evolving needs. My role is to support and empower you, offering tools and encouragement as you move toward lasting change—even when the path feels uncertain. Our first session is a gentle starting point for us to get to know each other. We'll talk about what brings you to therapy, explore your background, and begin identifying what you'd like to focus on in our work together. If you’re open to it, I may introduce simple creative tools to help you express yourself, but there’s no pressure—this time is about your comfort and pace. It’s completely natural to feel unsure or nervous at first. Therapy is a process, and we’ll take it one step at a time. I’m here to support you and guide you through each part of the journey with patience, curiosity, and care.
