Ever feel like the world wasn't designed for you' As a member of the queer community and someone who has navigated the complexities of addiction, I get it, and that's why I'm here-to empower you to liberate yourself from limitations, both internal and external.
I work to provide an environment that feels like a genuine human connection rather than just a clinical exchange. I ground my work in social justice and weave it with the structured knowledge I gained from my Master's in Social Work from Hunter College, City University of New York. This balance allows for an interaction that's both educated and empathetic.
We'll work together to help you find the strength that's already within you. Through a lens of empathy, normalization, and honesty, we'll unpack your internal struggles and work on aligning you with your true self. I believe that everyone has what they need to succeed; my role is to help you realize and unlock that potential.
I specialize in serving queer adults with a history of trauma, individuals battling addiction, and those who are yearning for a more comfortable relationship with the world. Many individuals go through periods of their life where they are searching for a deeper, more meaningful understanding of who they are as a person. I enjoy working with clients who are navigating this phase of life as it can be so rewarding to see the transformational changes that my clients make. I invite you to explore the meaning and correlation between topics like anxiety, communication, family, and work to your relationship with substance use, grief, sex, identity, trauma, and/or new medical diagnoses.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
The most important part of the therapeutic process is building a trusting, authentic relationship. My goal is to form a collaborative partnership where my clients and I can learn and explore deeper meaning together. I practice from a judgment-free, sex-positive, queer-aligned perspective that encourages clients to view themselves holistically and form connections between past and current experiences. I encourage growth and healing on a foundation of warmth, connection, education, and empathetic reflection.
