Psychotherapist
SC
Most of the individuals who seek the help of a therapist have tried everything they know how to do but it just isn't working for them. It is the task of an effective therapist to listen to your concerns and develop ways to assist you in learning better ways of dealing with problems that have bothered you currently and in the past. We can do that. My focus Developing ways to deal with life's realities is my primary focus. An Ideal client is one who has a desire to see the world differently and is willing to confront their view directly. My approach My approach is simple. Over the past 40 years, I have been able to assist clients in dealing effectively with a variety of issues and have developed a very direct approach in resolving life's situations that result in emotional upset. You already have the skills needed, but haven't applied them. We can do that. My communication style I address the therapy process in a caring and supportive way. I am very open-minded and would never minimize a client's issues. This is done in an atmosphere of trust and understanding. I can be very active in therapy because a therapist is also a teacher. My journey to mental healthcare I started when I experienced the help a therapist could provide in solving issues I had in my personal life. I was a successful business professional and decided to get another degree in Counseling, and have done it since. I have found it to be the most fulfilling thing I have accomplished in my life. So I know therapy works! My goals for you After listening to the client's needs, I develop a plan of care from the information the client provides. This is discussed with the client, and we see if it meets their approval. Of course, it can be changed if their ideas are different. We develop the plan and goals together. Our first session Very informal and welcoming. Most individuals are anxious, and that is expected, especially those who are new to it, but you will find it to be comfortable in a short time.
