Her approach is grounded in a client-centered philosophy and informed by psychodynamic, trauma-informed, mindfulness-based, CBT, DBT, and ACT approaches. She views therapy as a space where clients can slow down, better understand their thoughts, emotions, and patterns, and develop greater compassion and flexibility toward themselves. Freya has a particular interest in working with trauma, complex and generational trauma, cultural identity, relational patterns, perfectionism, and self-worth. She is attentive to the ways family, culture, and life experiences can shape a person’s inner world and relationships. Through a supportive and nonjudgmental therapeutic relationship, Freya helps clients gain insight, build self-awareness, and develop healthier ways of navigating themselves, their relationships, and the challenges they face.
