My name is Gabriela Treviño, If you’re seeking a warm, supportive therapist with experience treating trauma-related disorders, mood disorders, and borderline personality disorder (BPD), I’d be honored to work with you. I have worked with individuals across the lifespan in a variety of settings, ranging from school-based programs to providing inpatient care for both adolescents and adults at The Menninger Clinic. I have also worked in hospital settings and offered individual therapy to youth through the UTHealth System. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Houston, Texas. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Social Work with a minor in Spanish Language from Baylor University and later obtained my Master’s degree in Social Work at the University of Houston Graduate College of Social Work.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My passion for therapy grew from personal experiences of hardship as a young adult and witnessing a family member struggle with addiction, which showed me firsthand how powerful supportive communities can be in helping individuals feel less alone. I specialize in working with teens (14+) and young adults navigating depression, anxiety, trauma-related disorders, attachment challenges, identity concerns, and borderline personality disorder (BPD). My work is grounded in evidence-based practices and tailored to each client’s unique needs by integrating Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), attachment-based therapy, and mentalization-based therapy (MBT). I also incorporate mindfulness, empowerment theory, and person-centered approaches to ensure we are building a foundation for lasting change.

My process focuses on creating a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore what’s holding you back, strengthen your emotional balance, and build the confidence to move forward.
