At Gabby Cares, we follow a holistic and collaborative model that focuses on strengthening and empowering families, parents, couples, and individuals to reach their full potential. Through exploration, we can work together to restore peace and self-identity. I hold a PhD from Nova Southeastern University and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Florida, which inform my compassionate and evidence-based approach to care.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Dr. Gabrielle is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with a specialization in Infant and Maternal Mental Health. As an Afro-Caribbean and Miami native, she has always had a love for giving back and supporting those within her community. She has had the pleasure of working as a family therapist for close to 10 years in the South Florida area. Gabby Cares of South Florida was created as a safe space for multicultural therapeutic work to transpire and change the narrative as it relates to Mental Health within minority communities.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Intake with me is seamless. Everyone has the opportunity for a consultation to answer any questions about therapy or me as a clinician. We can also use it to discuss the pressing issue briefly. If you agree I am a good fit for you, you can register through my client portal and complete the initial paperwork. If I am not, I will provide referrals. Progress typically occurs once there is a change, no matter how small it is. Therapy is a collaborative process as we work and discuss things that may be problematic in your life and explore a variety of skills that can help provide the needed shift. I effectively aid clients in navigating through life by building social and coping skills. My goal is to provide a safe environment to ensure open, confidential, and productive communication. I assist clients in learning to embrace life's challenges while providing an opportunity for them to develop the necessary skills and tools to navigate the waves of life.
