Getting to know Gabrielle Rogers

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a Master's in Social Work from The University of Texas at Austin and over 15 years of experience in children's mental health, trauma-informed care, and interagency collaboration, I am passionate about providing compassionate, evidence-based therapy tailored to each client's unique needs. I specialize in helping children, families, and individuals navigate complex systems while addressing mental health challenges, including trauma, grief, and life transitions. In my practice, I employ a client-centered approach, incorporating techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma therapy, and solution-focused therapy to foster resilience and healing. My expertise includes working with children in multi-system settings, providing crisis intervention, and supporting families through culturally and linguistically appropriate care. I am dedicated to empowering clients to achieve their goals and overcome obstacles in a supportive and non-judgmental environment. Whether working with children, families, or individuals, I aim to create a safe space where growth and positive change are possible.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My approach to therapy is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to meet each client’s unique needs. I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered. Together, we will work to uncover your strengths, explore challenges, and develop actionable strategies to help you achieve your goals. I specialize in evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma therapy, grief therapy, and solution-focused therapy. My work is rooted in a trauma-informed, client-centered perspective, ensuring that care is culturally sensitive and aligned with your personal values and experiences. You can expect a blend of warmth and professionalism, where open communication and mutual respect guide our sessions. Whether you’re navigating a difficult life transition, coping with anxiety or depression, or seeking support for a loved one, my goal is to help you feel empowered and supported every step of the way.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

When working with clients, I strive to create a collaborative and supportive environment where your goals, needs, and values take center stage. Our work typically begins with an initial session focused on understanding your background, current challenges, and what you hope to achieve in therapy. During this session, I gather information about your experiences, strengths, and goals to develop a personalized plan for our work together. In subsequent sessions, we’ll build upon this foundation, exploring the thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that influence your well-being. I use evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma therapy, grief counseling, and solution-focused therapy, tailoring these techniques to your specific needs. Each session is client-driven, allowing space to address immediate concerns while staying aligned with your long-term goals. My approach is interactive and compassionate, fostering a sense of safety and trust. Sessions may involve discussing coping strategies, practicing mindfulness techniques, or working through challenges in real-time. Between sessions, I may recommend exercises or reflections to help you apply what we discuss to your everyday life. Ultimately, my goal is to help you feel empowered, understood, and equipped with tools to navigate life’s challenges with greater confidence and resilience.

My sessions with Gabrielle have been so amazing. She’s very kind and attentive and gives wonderful skills and advice to help you manage during your day. She also gives you journal prompts and other homework during the week so you are always thinking and working on yourself, which I love.
Gabby is a fantastic therapist! I have been working with her for almost a year and have noticed significant improvement in my anxiety. She is attentive, patient and has provided me with tools throughout my journey to live a positive, productive life with anxiety. Her approach puts the responsibility on me, which I appreciate because it holds me accountable to make the changes in my life and do the work required in therapy. As things in my life have changed, Gabby has adapted her style providing me even more tools to lean on as I need them. My life has changed for the better and I am forever grateful for Gabby.
