Feel like you keep getting in your own way? Maybe you’ve noticed yourself avoiding certain people or situations, numbing out just to keep going, or struggling to make decisions because nothing feels clear. Life keeps moving, but you feel off-balance, disconnected, or like you’re carrying more than you can handle. My approach to therapy is personal, not clinical. It's rooted in helping clients reconnect with their inner world. Healing happens when we begin to feel what we’ve been talking around, when we start to remember who we were before life rearranged us, and gently begin to meet the person we’re becoming on the other side of it. Many of my clients come to me struggling with grief, anxiety, trauma, relational difficulties, depression, and disordered eating. I use a strength-based and person-centered approach, drawing techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy(CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy(ACT), Behavioral Activation, EMDR, Polyvagal Theory, and Parts Work to support healing. In our sessions, we’ll look to nature as a guide, draw on mindfulness tools, and practice shifting perspective when the weight feels unmovable. Together, we’ll revisit parts of yourself and your world that loss may have hidden from view. Therapy isn’t always easy, but it can open you to a deeper connection with life, even in the midst of loss.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Therapy with me isn’t about following a strict formula or checking off boxes. It’s a collaborative conversation where I join you in exploring what matters to you, not what a checklist says “should” matter. I help you notice patterns, beliefs, and emotional responses that may be holding you back. Together, we explore these with curiosity, humor, and a sense of discovery rather than shame. Therapy isn’t just for the hour we meet. I provide tools and exercises you can practice in your everyday life, helping you notice, experiment, and shift habits outside the office. I understand the pressure to “have it all together” and the hidden fatigue it brings. I"ll help you face the parts of yourself that success alone hasn’t “fixed.”

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Getting to Know You Our first sessions are about understanding you. Your history, values, patterns, and the challenges you’re facing. I'll listen carefully and ask questions to help you reflect, without judgment or pressure. Identifying What Matters Together, we explore what’s important to you and what’s been keeping you stuck. This isn’t about “solving” everything right away; it’s about understanding your unique landscape and your goals for growth, healing, or change. Exploring Patterns & Beliefs I'll help you notice recurring thoughts, emotional reactions, and behaviors. We look at how they show up in relationships, work, and daily life, and we start thinking about what’s helpful, what’s holding you back, and what might need to shift. Experimentation & Practice Therapy is a place to try things out in a safe environment. I offer tools, exercises, and creative approaches you can practice in your everyday life, helping you notice changes and test new ways of thinking, feeling, or responding. Reflection & Integration We reflect on what you notice in and outside of session, making sense of patterns, insights, and growth. I support you in integrating these discoveries into your life so the work feels tangible and meaningful. Ongoing Adaptation Your therapy process is unique, so we adapt as needed. Sessions may include reflection, brainstorming, problem-solving, or just sitting with difficult emotions. The process is flexible, always honoring your pace and needs.
