“Gabi has been life changing for me. I don’t think I’ve ever had a therapist with who it’s a conversation and not a venting session. I’ve already learned so much about myself and have worked effectively on challenges as they come. I always wanted a therapist who could talk to me like an older sister and called me out when I’m spiraling in a nice way - there is a very fine line and she does it just the right way. I love my sessions with Gabi and am so grateful for her. ”

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Hi! Here is a bit about how this goes... All insurance patients are directed to Headway to confirm their information and then will be sent a welcome letter and video link for our session. Generally, the first session is spent as a getting to know you! We spend time getting a clear history and the presenting issues for treatment, with some focus on goals for therapy. I generally explain the methods utilized in treatment, primarily cognitive-behavioral therapy, and encourage collaboration in setting the tone for our time together! We check in weekly as to what is working and where we still need to brainstorm ideas that can further improve the presenting problems. The length of time in treatment depends on each individual's needs! I work hard to ensure a committed, engaging relationship, with both partners giving their fullest to ensure a positive therapy experience.
