Getting to know Gaelle Vernet

Hi there, I'm Gaëlle! My name is Gaëlle Vernet, and I am a licensed clinical professional counselor with a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University. I am passionate about taking on the journey with people to assist them in identifying the interconnections of different parts of their lives. Once these relationships are understood, it becomes easier to see how each part affects another. My approach Since everyone is different and no single modality fits all, I work from a collaborative, strength-based approach, using techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness therapy, positive psychology, and reality therapy. I encourage people to pursue a holistic approach to health, incorporating exercise, sleep, nutrition, relationships, spiritual practices, and hobbies. My focus I have worked as a case manager and mental health specialist, which allowed me to interact with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including-but not limited to-those who are homeless, parolees, individuals with substance abuse issues, HIV/AIDS, LGBTQ community members, and people experiencing mental health disorders such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, dual diagnosis, and other life maladjustments. My communication style My communication style varies based on the person. I strive to meet each individual where they are by providing a safe space for them to be as expressive as they want.

I looked for therapy because I really wanted to talk, or vent, about life, problems, and things that I usually do not talk to other people. Gaelle provided me with a friendly environment where I could share things and not feel judged and I love that.
