What should a new client know about working with you?

Do you often feel overwhelmed, shut down, or unsure why you react the way you do? You might feel disconnected from yourself, stuck in patterns that don’t make sense, or struggling with emotions that feel too intense or completely out of reach. For many, these experiences are shaped by trauma, sometimes clear and recognizable, and sometimes subtle or cumulative, rooted in early relationships or life events that were never fully processed. Trauma doesn’t just live in the mind; it lives in the body and nervous system, shaping how we feel, think, and respond. If you or someone you care about is living with chronic or invisible illness, you may know how deeply these conditions affect not just the body, but the emotional world, too. Pain, fatigue, isolation, and uncertainty can take a toll over time, often leaving people feeling invisible or disconnected from themselves and others. My approach is grounded in the understanding that healing involves both mind and body. In our work together, we slow down and notice what’s happening inside, with curiosity. We explore the interconnection between physical, mental, and emotional aspects of experience, making space for each part of you to be seen and supported. Healing often looks like becoming less reactive and more at choice, reconnecting with parts of yourself that felt lost or silenced, and building a steadier, more compassionate relationship with your inner world, on your own terms.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In our first session, I’ll invite you to share what brings you in and what you’re hoping for from therapy. I may ask some questions about your history and what kinds of support have or haven’t helped in the past. My priority is to begin building a safe and collaborative relationship. As we talk, I may invite you to notice what’s happening inside or introduce the idea of different parts of you that show up in response to stress or pain, always with your consent and at your pace. Our work begins with slowing down and getting curious together.
