Dr. Gary Altheim, PsyD

Psychotherapist
NY
I am a New York State licensed Clinical Psychologist with over 30 years of experience providing therapeutic support to teens, adults, seniors, and families. I earned my PsyD in Clinical Psychology from Yeshiva University's Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology. My approach is rooted in the belief that you are the expert on your own life. While past and present stressors can sometimes feel overwhelming and steer us off course, seeking help is a courageous step toward healing and growth. As a Clinical Psychologist, my priority is to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where we can work collaboratively to empower you to heal, rediscover joy, and chart a brighter path forward. Together, we'll focus on helping you overcome challenges and achieve your potential. In 2018, I was honored as a finalist for the Child Mind Institute's Annual Change Maker Awards and featured in Parents Magazine for my work addressing critical issues like family instability, community violence, mental health, and learning disabilities.
