Gary Vertula, LPC

Psychotherapist
CT
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 20 years of experience in the mental health field, with a strong background in clinical practice, supervision, and program leadership. I have held supervisory and managerial roles, providing leadership, clinical oversight, mentoring counselors, and supporting the delivery of high-quality behavioral health services. I maintain a private practice where I work with adolescents and adults experiencing trauma, depression, anxiety, and life transitions. My clinical approach is compassionate, client-centered, and grounded in evidence-based practices. I am experienced in working with LGBTQ+ individuals and families, offering affirming and culturally responsive care. I also provide faith-based counseling for clients who wish to integrate their spiritual beliefs into the therapeutic process. I understand therapy can be difficult at first, feeling guarded, overwhelmed or uncertain about change. My work is guided by a commitment to ethical practice, professional growth, and creating a safe, supportive space where clients can heal, build resilience, and move toward meaningful change, while honoring each client’s unique strengths, values, and goals. I believe healing happens within a supportive therapeutic relationship, and I am committed to helping clients build resilience, insight, and meaningful change.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
