Therapy requires hard work. At times, you will be uncomfortable, exhausted, and even overwhelmed. The journey is not always easy; however, achieving sophisticated awareness requires you to be brave and fearless. I will challenge you to expose yourself, meet you where you are, and encourage you to grow. Together, we will identify your strengths, challenges, and patterns so that you can develop awareness of your own “blind spots.” My goal is to empower you to utilize different tools and strategies that will teach you to be your own therapist.
I offer a warm, authentic approach to my therapy sessions. I am deeply invested in learning about you and assisting you in achieving your desired outcomes in a safe, non-judgmental, and supportive setting. I am passionate about helping others through a collaborative approach that incorporates various evidence-based interventions tailored to meet individualized needs.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a military veteran with extensive experience working with individuals and families to improve mental health, relationships, trauma, substance use, and career challenges. I specialize in cognitive behavioral treatments for depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, and co-occurring disorders. I earned my Master's in Social Work from the University of Southern California, which has equipped me with a strong foundation to support and guide you on your journey.

Gemma is wonderful. Professional yet caring. Encouraging, helpful. She has really helped me a lot. She's a good listener and provides the right amount of feedback and advice. Several things she has brought to my attention has really helped. I.e. black and white thinking, catastrophizing things, etc. Concrete things I tend to do that make me unhappy. She has been able to schedule and reschedule to help adapt to my needs. She is the best!
