Dr. Gene Ira Katz is a Licensed Professional Counselor, an American Board of Sexology Certified Sex Therapist, and a Licensed Addiction Counselor. He earned both his Doctorate in Criminal Justice and his Master's in Counseling Psychology from Colorado Technical University. From 2011 to 2024, he served as an Associate Professor at Colorado Technical University, where he developed and taught courses in Psychology, Human Services, and Criminal Justice, including Abnormal Psychology, Forensic Psychology, Addiction Counseling, Social Psychology, and Sex Crimes, among others. Dr. Katz is a member of the Western Psychological Association, the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists, the Society for the Advancement of Sexual Health, and he is a founding member of the Colorado Mental Health Professionals Association. He has received citations from both the US Congress and the New York State Legislature for his work in Community Mental Health.
