My approach My approach to therapy begins with identifying and clarifying the specific needs of my clients and then tailoring an approach to best help them accomplish what they set out to through the use of my training, knowledge, and experience. My background comes from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Rational Emotive Therapies, and a variety of client-centered and solution-focused interventions. My focus Having worked in a variety of settings including outpatient mental health centers, inpatient psychiatric hospitals, school systems, and integrative primary care clinics, I feel comfortable working with all types of clients and mental health conditions. I have a specialized background in working with clients navigating grief and loss, complex health conditions, and all mental health-related issues as well. My communication style My primary focus in engaging clients is to meet them where they are. This begins with creating an atmosphere of comfort and openness that allows my clients to feel safe, heard, and understood. I work to provide an empathic space with clear boundaries that allow for acceptance, connection, support, and guidance to be sincerely and genuinely felt. My journey to mental healthcare I became fascinated with Psychology as a teenager through reading and media, as I was frequently drawn to understanding the limitless perspectives that people can have on their own lives. This curiosity was reinforced through my education, training, and guidance from outstanding mentors who validated that I could thrive in this field.
