What I have learned, in my years working in mental health, is that my fellow human beings are resilient, creative, and strong. I have learned that we often do not realize our own strength and power. I believe that each of us has within us an internal wisdom. I want to help you locate that wisdom and bring it forth into your life. My experience is in a variety of outpatient settings and primarily in community mental health. I have worked with people from all walks of life. Each person I meet with is a unique individual. There is no one way to approach the challenges that come up in our lives.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I have learned that life is hard sometimes. Often we have no-one to turn to or need a private space in which to understand our own experience and get some perspective. I have training and experience in a variety of therapy modalities. I am interested in you as an individual and the contexts of your life that may or may not be applicable to your concern. I want to meet with you to understand what you are seeking for yourself. I seek to provide a safe, comfortable space in which you can explore what you are seeking in more depth. I want to support you in tapping into your energy and will towards creating a life that is more fulfilling and satisfyin

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I want to understand some of your history and more of your current presenting issues that are leading you to seek therapy at this time. I want to develop a rapport with you as we explore and define treatment goals and move into starting treatment. I have training in several areas and am particularly interested in treating trauma, both small t and large T traumas. I am trained in EMDR, some IFS, Narrative Exposure Therapy, and mindfulness approaches. I draw on all of these to address what you bring into sessions. I can meet in person or by telehealth. My office is located centrally in Tucson, AZ.
