Hi, I’m Giana and I enjoy working with individuals, couples, and families in helping them learn healthy ways to resolve conflicts, communicate with one another, rebuild ruptured relationships, and tackle life. I will meet you where you are in your life currently and together, we will explore ways to help you come to a happier and healthier state of mental wellbeing.
What should a new client know about working with you?
Do anxious thoughts and critical self-talk make it hard to feel confident or at peace? Do you find yourself feeling overwhelmed, like no matter how hard you try it’s still not enough? Is your child struggling with their behavior at home and/or in school? Do you feel mentally exhausted from constant arguments with your spouse, like you’re stuck in a cycle of tension and conflict? Do you feel as though you and your partner are not on the same team? There is hope, even when your brain tells you there isn’t. Your mind is a powerful tool, don’t underestimate it.
Every family struggles with different things and each family member handles and reacts to those struggles differently.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
My specialties are depression, anxiety, borderline personlaity disorder, relationship issues, parent coaching, children (7-12), autism level 1 (Asperger’s). I predominately utilize a cognitive behavioral and dialectical behavior approach coupled with strength-based therapy.

Made an appointment within the past month here. Spoke to a practitioner/student working under the practice name which I was aware of beforehand. During the virtual session the interaction felt somewhat informal, with a lot of movement on camera that made it feel less focused than I anticipated for a first appointment. I would have appreciated clearer communication and a more structured experience. Will most likely find a different psychotherapist to work but I’m sharing this feedback in the spirit of helping improve the experience for future patients, as clearer communication and a more structured setting would make the visit feel more professional.
