What should a new client know about working with you?

Adults 18+, individuals and family. Anxiety, depression, management of most mental health issues, family/relationship conflict, grief, parenting, life transitions including college age, parenting, empty nest and retirement. Certified in Perinatal Mental Health working with those struggling with postpartum depression and/or anxiety, birth trauma and NICU stays. I work primarily from a Psychodynamic approach using Attachment Theory and Cognitive Behavioral tools.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

For our sessions, the first 1-3 will be getting to know you sessions. I will want to get a full picture of what your struggles are and what your goals also are. I work hard to create a safe environment for you to share your struggles, hoping to make you feel comfortable doing so. Our sessions will be 50 minutes. I do primarily work within the psychodynamic realm with attachment theory often including Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral tools at times.
