What should a new client know about working with you?

I have over 22 years of experience helping adults, teens and families in crisis. I have worked in inpatient as well as outpatient mental health clinics. I am licensed in Louisiana and previously in New York City. I work with clients who may be struggling with depression or trauma related to their relationships or family. I often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in my practice. In your first session, we'll explore what brought you to therapy and then decide the most appropriate ways to help you make progress. With CBT, we'll look at how your thoughts affect your emotions and experience. During treatment, I'll help you learn how to push back against those thoughts to change your feelings for the better.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in my practice, but I am not limited to CBT, other interventions utilized include Coaching, Eclectic, Family Systems, Holistic, Person-centered, Motivational Interviewing, Multicultural and Narrative.
