Getting to know Ginger Drake

I love to work with people who are willing to think, consider new ideas, examine themselves honestly, and try new behaviors. This is exciting! I appreciate those who allow me the occasional moment of silence so I can prepare a question that fits their unique personality and situation. I enjoy working with people who are eager to work on things throughout the week and provide honest feedback about how effective those ideas were for them. I also find it very rewarding to work with someone who can articulate what they believe their issue is and what they think they need to do to overcome it—whether by increasing or decreasing a behavior—even if it takes a few sessions to get there. It’s great to work with people who will do their best to give a new idea a shot. That being said, everyone has their up days and down days. We wouldn’t be human if we didn’t. Being willing to let me walk alongside them on those days, as well as the good days, humbles me because of their trust. Therapy can be work, and change doesn’t fall into our laps. But it is possible, and in many cases, necessary to experience abundant living. Finally, I really enjoy working with people who, even as they identify a tendency, personality trait, reaction, or thought process that may be related to childhood or adult trauma or abuse, also look for ways to overcome its impact instead of being content to sit in its shade and let themselves be bested by it.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
