Giovanna Shaffer, MS, RMHCI, completed her Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology at Florida International University in 2022. She has a professional background in Behavior Analysis and training experience in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and ongoing training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). Ms. Shaffer works with children diagnosed with Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD), as well as adolescents, teenagers, and young adults. She also supports patients with bipolar disorder, personality disorders, and trauma. Ms. Shaffer provides care in both English and Spanish through in-person and Telehealth appointments. In her spare time, Ms. Shaffer enjoys Zumba, practicing mindfulness, reading, spending time with her children, and playing with her two dogs. She moved to Miami as a young child from Colombia and is fully bilingual in English and Spanish. Ms. Shaffer is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern.
