I prefer to take a person-centered approach to working with clients. I do my best to provide a warm, laid-back, non-judgmental setting so that you feel as comfortable as possible. I incorporate elements of CBT, REBT, Motivational Interviewing, DBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Psychoeducation in a hybrid model that is best suited to your specific needs. I believe in educating clients so that the skills learned in session can be applied in everyday life. My counseling sessions are a chance for you to explore whatever you are thinking or feeling, without fear of judgement or criticism. I am here to listen attentively and to understand, as well as to help clients to see how their life experiences may have distorted their view of the world around them. I use humor and levity to help clients cope with and heal from their issues. Clients can also expect to be challenged in a gentle and empathetic manner.
