UpLift Behavioral Health providers do not issue prescriptions for substances controlled by any federal or state agency or other drugs that may be harmful because of their potential for abuse. UpLift Behavioral Health reserves the right to limit the types of medications that may be prescribed by its doctors and nurse practitioners. All prescriptions furnished by UpLift Behavioral Health care providers are issued in accordance with applicable federal and state law as well as UpLift Behavioral Health policy. I believe in empowering individuals to navigate life's challenges and build resilience. My approach draws inspiration from several models. From mindfulness-based practices, we can cultivate awareness of thoughts and feelings without judgment. This sets the stage for exploring unhelpful patterns, similar to cognitive behavioral therapy. However, I also recognize the importance of accepting emotions as they arise, a concept central to Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Finally, my goal is to help you identify your values and commit to actions that align with them, even amidst difficult emotions. I hold a Master's in Counseling from St. Mary's University and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Houston, which have both shaped my understanding and approach to therapy.
