Hello, I'm Grace, an art therapist who came to this work through my own mental health struggles. As a painting major dealing with anhedonia and recognizing my mental health struggles showing up in my artwork, I discovered something unexpected: the messy, imperfect art I was making was bringing me solace. It pulled me into the present moment, connected me to others and gave me purpose when everything felt pointless. That experience drives my practice. Art therapy isn't about making pretty pictures - it's about externalizing what's internal, expressing what feels overwhelming and understanding what seems incomprehensible.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I specialize in working with children, teens and young adults dealing with identity questions, body image, anxiety, depression and substance misuse. Having navigated my own struggles during these pivotal years, I understand the specific intensity of emerging adulthood.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Clients appreciate that I'm compassionate, open-minded, and curious. It’s everybody’s first time on this earth, too, and sometimes we need a little bit of help. My approach adapts to each person I meet. No art experience is required. All you need is the openness to try something different.
