Getting to know Greg Bisset

Hello, I am Greg Bisset. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Delaware. I am also a Certified Advance Alcohol and Drug Counselor, Certified Mental Health Screener, and Certified First Responder Counselor. I earned my Bachelors Degree in Psychology in 2016 and my Master's in Social Work in 2018. I have been practicing for almost 8 years in various roles and working with diverse populations and mental health settings. I am also a Marine Corps Veteran, serving 4 years of active duty. I have worked with a variety of different populations, from people who struggle with schizophrenia, people recovering from substance misuse, individuals experiencing homelessness, those who have experienced trauma, and more. I will often focus on using none stigmatizing language, such as an individual struggling with schizophrenia, over saying a person is schizophrenic, as I focus on the individual and their recovery. I believe that the individual is still a person and that mental health or substance abuse does not define them as a character trait. Working with individuals, I focus on working as a partnership towards one's recovery. Together, we can focus on meeting our goals and getting you where you wish to be.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

He is super grounded and able to provide great advice and strategies. I love that he is very much based in fact and figuring things out!
Greg has been honest and direct but also sensitive and understanding. He emphasizes the importance of physical health in the mind-body connection, and is focused on techniques for improving the present, rather than digging up painful memories from the past. He has been excellent to work with.
I had to step aside to tend to my kids mid session. Greg kept the session going after our alotted time to make up for the time that I missed out on. I know he’s great at what he does, but to do that…that’s above and beyond.
Greg has given me the tools I need to help keep my anxiety at bay. We've examined alternative activities to my current lifestyle that has landed me in trouble and caused anxiety and depression. He's enlightened me to some meditation techniques as well to use when I'm stressed and when I'm having trouble sleeping, also for other situations.
