Getting to know Greg Kirkham

Hi, I'm Greg Kirkham! I'm a licensed therapist with over 20 years of experience. I specialize in treating trauma. Now, you may be saying, “But I don't have trauma!” Trauma comes in all shapes and sizes and is often not recognized as such, but it almost always has a significant impact on someone's overall mental, physical, and emotional health. Trauma also presents in many different forms, including struggles with depression, anxiety, and anger management. Over my career, I have worked with an array of populations, including children and families, juvenile sex offenders, and even convicts. Currently, I serve those who served us as a therapist with the VA in middle Tennessee. Over the past seven years, I've seen evidence-based treatments work wonders with PTSD and trauma in our veterans. I earned my Master's in Social Work from Florida State University, which has helped shape my approach to therapy. With GrowTherapy, I'm now able to provide these and other treatments to YOU! Whether you're not really sure or highly motivated to get help, I'd love to discuss options and see if we're a good fit! Thanks for reading, and congratulations on taking the first step toward a healthier and more fulfilling life!

What should a new client know about working with you?

After seeing conventional therapies lead only to minimal success that was, often, not maintained, I have become trained in treatments whose efficacy is backed by research and, more importantly, my own experiences with clients. I’ve routinely seen clients who, often in a matter of a few weeks, experience change that is maintainable and life altering. These treatment protocols have invigorated my entire career as well as my outlook on the possibility of real and lasting change! I would expect no less for any client I work with who is motivated and committed to “doing the work.”

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
