I have served in progressive leadership positions within Behavioral Health for the S.C. Dept. of Corrections since 2016, most recently as the Division Director in 2019. I began as the Clinical Director for Recovery Centers of America in 2023, launching the largest private drug and alcohol treatment facility in the state. I have presented nationally on best practices and outcomes for substance use treatment and community reintegration, published research on peer support, and worked as a consultant and speaker on digital interventions. I served as a member of the South Carolina Air National Guard stationed at McEntire AFB from 2016 to 2022 and deployed under Operation Enduring Freedom in 2012 while serving in the Army, gaining experience leading and supporting people across three continents. I also volunteer time with NAMI and the ACA. As a seasoned therapist with a Master’s in Clinical Psychology from West Chester University, I use my education and skills, coupled with my unique background, to deliver high-level excellence and care for my clients. Change is hard, but succeeding in your goals for therapy shouldn’t be. I have worked with adult men and women (18+) for years, from frontline roles through senior executive positions. Together, we have been overcoming addiction, depression, anxiety, trauma, PTSD, veteran issues, life transitions, relationship challenges, communication difficulties, and more.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I strive for a high level of excellence; that is no different in therapy. Change is hard but together we can make a difference in your life as I am here to work as hard as you!

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I start each session with any housekeeping items, then we roll into a check in period since last contact. If there is homework we review that and then move into the bulk of session. That can center on interventions, education, practice of skills, etc. We wrap up with a review of the session, homework or expectations for next session and any last minute billing/scheduling that needs to be discussed.
