Getting to know Gregory Drummond

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor, and Certified Sex Addiction Therapist Candidate. I hold a Master's in Social Work from the University of Houston. I currently work in a private practice setting in the heart of Houston, Texas. I am experienced in assessing and treating individuals of all ages and specialize in working with individuals and families utilizing cognitive and behavioral-based treatment. In addition, I utilize a family systems evaluation and diagnostic approach, psychodynamic/analytic interpretive style, solution-focused, and crisis therapy techniques. I primarily work with individuals, couples, and groups dealing with anxiety, depression, substance use, and sex addiction. Over the past 30 years, I have worked in a number of mental health settings, including acute intensive outpatient programs (IOP), partial hospitalization programs (PHP), short-term residential (RTC) programs, and acute and long-term inpatient psychiatric hospitals.

What should a new client know about working with you?

As a client you can expect honesty and integrity. You can expect to be heard and your goals to be outlined to achieve a greater balance. You will always be respected, and confidentiality is paramount. Each session will build on the previous and treatment goals and milestones will be defined.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
