As an LMFT, I am trained in evidence-based practices including Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Narrative Therapy to help clients work through and heal symptoms of anxiety, depression, burnout, anger management, grief, trauma, and everything in-between. I have had the privilege to work in a university setting, where I supported a diverse population of clients who identified as Black, Indigenous, Latinx, Pacific Islander, Asian, White, heterosexual, gender-queer, neurodivergent, religious, non-religious, disabled, low socioeconomic status, and other marginalized identities. I specialize in working with people who are often mistreated and judged by others due to struggles with: 1. Dysfunctional relationships (infidelity, divorce, etc.) 2. Complex trauma (racism, sexual abuse, etc.) 3. Gender discrimination (homophobia, transphobia, etc.) Know that you are not alone in these disparaging experiences. As a Black mental health professional, I intentionally help every client work through their unique lived adversities to obtain long-term healing!
