Dr. Carlson is nationally certified in TF-CBT, provides psychodynamic psychotherapy for clients of all ages, and conducts comprehensive psychological assessments with children, adolescents, and adults. Dr. Carlson's primary clinical interests include treating anxiety and mood disorders in children, adolescents, and adults, in addition to the assessment and treatment of trauma/PTSD and stressor-related disorders, including dissociative disorders. Dr. Carlson enjoys employing psychodynamic approaches to psychological assessment, including projective testing. She is the author of the chapter, "Projective Identification at Work in the Psychological Assessment of Children," in the text "Contemporary Psychoanalytic Approaches to Early Childhood Education," published by Rowman & Littlefield.
